TCL, a brand that’s been slowly making waves in the TV space over the years with cutting-edge technologies at very reasonable prices, has just expanded its display domain in Australia – moving out of the living room and onto the desk with a drop of (count ’em) four new Mini LED gaming monitors sporting compelling specs.
The line-up comprises models starting at 25″ and Full HD, up to a full-4K, 32″ display. All feature the precise dimming afforded by Mini LED technology for deeper blacks and greater contrast, with the top-end TCL 32R84 sporting VESA Display HDR 1400 certification for up to 1400 nits of peak brightness.
The company claims sharp, fluid response with minimal halo effect and vibrant colours, though we’ve not had the opportunity to test any of these new models yet to comment on how they actually perform. The 25″ G54 model seems more geared toward professional/creative users, but the others should – in theory – offer a lot of performance for PC gamers.
At any rate, by virtue of their Mini LED technology alone, these monitors should bring a little bit of that depth and clarity we’d usually associate with top-notch living room tellies to your home office or gaming room, beating out OLED in brightness and crisp text – and coming fairly close in terms of contrast and motion handling.
The top-end model also sports some nifty RGB backlighting, as you can see in the images above.
