LEGO Party! version 1.4 finally adds Bonus Bricks and 2v2 minigames

Although a lot of what makes LEGO Party! great comes from the way it eschews the randomness of fellow party board game/mini game mashup, Mario Party, in favour of a bit more strategy, there’s no denying that one feature has felt missing since launch – Bonus Bricks.

Yes, for whatever reason, we seem to desire the potentially game-upsetting final stakes of Mario Party’s Bonus Stars even in an entirely different game, and the folks at SMG Studio have been listening. As of today’s big Version 1.4 update for LEGO Party!, Bonus Bricks have arrived.

Crucially though, this is the concept done in LEGO Party!’s unique way, so not only is the feature entirely optional but it works a little differently to what we know from similar games. Rather than the accolades handed out and earning players an extra point being chosen at random, players get to vote on the categories they’re competing in, like Most Studs Lost or Most Failed Spins, which means there are still some potential strategic plays to work with.

But that’s not all! LEGO Party! Version 1.4 also throws in a bunch of other neat updates, like 2v2 remixes of minigames including Graffeeti, Slide Hustle, Feeling Golfy & Saucerlord. Plus you’ll find new things to interact with and new ways to celebrate on the Minigame Results stage, a whopping 15+ new minifigures to play as – including the full suite of Classic Spacemen colours!

Here’s a rundown on what’s been added:
