A new drop from PlayStation today, with the arrival of the Hyperpop Collection – a suite of new DualSense Wireless Controller and PS5 console cover designs with striking neon colourways.
This new collection features three distinct designs with glossy blacks shifting into bright neon colours, with Techno Red, Remix Green and Rhythm Blue. I’m sure there are legal reasons for the green not being named Brat Green, but we all know that’s exactly what it is.
The designs come from Leo Cardoso and Sae Kobayashi at PlayStation’s Color, Material, and Finish design team. I quite enjoy the subtle bit of transparency at the top of the console covers – bring back transparent electronics!
There’s a bit of regional variation here, with the Hyperpop Collection DualSense wireless controllers available in most places, but the covers seem to be limited mostly to markets where the PlayStation Direct store is accessible. Here’s a look at the pricing:
