PlayStation’s upgraded PSSR is out today in a system update, here’s which games are supported

After recently announcing it would begin the rollout of a new, upgraded version of PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) for PlayStation 5 Pro users, Sony has revealed via a blog post that the system update enabling the upgrade is being pushed to PS5 Pro consoles beginning today.

The update will enable support for the new PSSR version in select, key titles, as well as an option to turn on an enhanced image quality setting for any PSSR-supported title – though PlayStation states the results may vary by title for that setting.

The officially-supported titles called out in this update include:

How to enable upgraded PSSR for all other supported titles

If you’re keen to see how the new version of PSSR benefits titles which already feature the original PSSR but aren’t part of this list of newly-updated games, you can manually enable the improved model across the board by heading to the setting below:

  • Settings > Screen and Video > Video Output > Enhance PSSR image quality

Reminder that PSSR is only available on PlayStation 5 Pro consoles!
