This new Super Mario Bros. Wonder Switch 2 Edition trailer shows off Rosalina, Flower Transformation and more

Following on all of the other fun news to come out of Mario (Mar 10) Day this year, Nintendo has dropped a chunky new Overview Trailer for Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park, a game that’s surely in the running for Most Annoying Title to Type, and releases very soon on March 26, 2026.

This new trailer covers off a lot of what we’ve already seen and know about the beefed-up Switch 2 version of the incredible Super Mario Bros. Wonder, but it’s our best look yet at what’s been added to the game, including glimpses of some fun new power-ups – namely newly-playable Rosalina’s Elephant form as well as the new Flower transformation.

Here’s Elephant Rosalina. Note that she’s seemingly the only one to keep her hair in this form, keeping her trademark long bangs over her right eye:

The Flower transformation, meanwhile, is gained through new Flower Pot power-ups and allows Mario and friends to chuck big flowers upwards at enemies and adds a fluttering glide move to jumps.

Elsewhere, the trailer takes us through the new multiplayer and single-player additions to the Switch 2 game, including the new Bellabel Park area and its collection of local and online multiplayer attractions, the new Koopaling bosses added to the core game, Joy-Con 2 mouse controls and Double Badges which combine effects from two different Badges to give players even more platforming flexibility and assistance where needed.

Take a look at the Overview Trailer in full below:

Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park launches on March 26, 2026 exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2, and owners of the original Switch version can opt for a digital upgrade at a reduced price.

Also launching alongside the game is a trio of new amiibo figures, including Captain Toad & Talking Flower, Poplin & Prince Florian, and Elephant Mario, all of which will cause the flower field and other directions in Bellabel Park to change as well as grant power-ups in-game.
