Capcom has announced its participation and plans for the 2026 iteration of Gamescom – one of the year’s biggest gaming entertainment expos, taking place in Cologne, Germany from August 26 to August 30.
The publisher has confirmed it’s bringing a number of titles to the show, including a world first public hands-on with the recently-announced Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, plus hands-on demos of Onimusha: Way of the Sword and Mega Man: Dual Override. The Capcom floor presence will encompass more than 950 square meters in Hall 9 of the Koelnmesse Exhibition Centre, including around 60 playable demo stations. Street Fighter 6 will also feature alongside “various eSport activities.”
Capcom says it’ll also bring, “Other exciting opportunities for attendees and a number of live streamed programs broadcast across the duration of the show directly from Cologne to the rest of the world.”
Announced just recently during the big June 2026 Nintendo Direct, Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen expands the acclaimed action RPG with new content, including the all-new, icy Norgan region.
Gamescom 2026 is fast approaching, and will begin with the traditional Opening Night Live broadcast from The Game Awards and Summer Game Fest host, Geoff Keighley. Expect new game announcements and updates on future titles, followed by multiple days of reporting and content from press, creators and the general public as Gamescom rolls on.
