I’m only marginally ashamed to admit that my household is a Fortnite household, and while we’ve managed to mostly stave off the desire to buy into any of the game’s merchandising, SteelSeries and KontrolFreek may have just ruined that.
In part in celebration of the 25th anniversary of SteelSeries, and in part in an attempt to sabotage my savings account, the two brands have launched a substantial licensing collaboration with Fortnite.
The SteelSeries Fortnite Collection features everything you might want to turn your desk into a battle station of appreciation for some of Fortnite’s most iconic characters and motifs. There’s an incredibly sexy Aerox 3 Wireless Gen 2 mouse in a “Fortnite Storm” colourway, an Arctic Nova 3 Wireless headset sporting a very cute Sprite design, Arctis GameBuds wireless earbuds with Peely’s handsome visage on them as well as a bunch of mouse pads and PBT keycaps with even more colourful designs.
Here’s what’s available and the AUD pricing:
SteelSeries Fortnite Collection:
- Arctis GameBuds | Fortnite Peely Edition – AUD $399
- Arctis Nova 3 Wireless PC/Xbox | Fortnite Sprite Edition – AUD $269
- Aerox 3 Wireless Gen 2 Mouse| Fortnite Storm Edition – AUD $259
- QcK XXL | Fortnite Battle Bus Edition – AUD $99
- QcK L | Fortnite Fishstick & Guff Editions – AUD $69
- PBT Keycaps | Fortnite Fishstick, Guff, Supply Llama Editions – AUD $159
If you’re more of a controller player then on the KontrolFreek side you’ve got a trio of kits to customise your experience for better performance and some snazzy Fortnite looks. I’m especially fond of the way they’ve popped the Durrr Burger Edition Aim Boost Kit inside burger box-style packaging.
Here’s what’s available and the AUD pricing:
KontrolFreek Fortnite Collection
- Fortnite Aim Boost Kit | Durrr Burger Edition with Collector’s Burger Box Case – AUD $79
- Fortnite Performance Fishsticks | Fishstick Edition – AUD $49
- Fortnite No-Slip Thumb Grips™ | Supply Llama Edition – AUD $39
I will unfortunately be dropping way too much cash on at least most of this stuff, so it’s good to know that it’ll be arriving at local Australia and New Zealand retailers “soon,” and is available from SteelSeries.com, KontrolFreek.com.
