Grand Theft Auto 6 will retail for $129.95 in Australia with a $159.95 Ultimate Edition

It’s a big day on the internet for folks who haven’t been able to stop thinking about Grand Theft Auto VI for the past months and years. Rockstar Games is officially kicking off pre-orders for the game, which launches on November 19, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, effectively capping off fervent speculation and discourse about the game’s tangibility and ticket price.

Grand Theft Auto VI will carry a $129.95 price tag in Australia and New Zealand, for the Standard Edition, with an Ultimate Edition also up for pre-order that’ll run you $159.95. That’s up against a US price of USD $80 and USD $100, respectively.

There’s some significance here, with the standard retail for the game sitting just slightly above what we’re used to paying for a AAA new release, which have typically topped out at AUD $124.95 before now (or USD $70 for those reading in the States), but it actually puts Aussies in a decent position against some other regions, based on historic figures.
