Good news for those still playing GTA Online (or anyone who’s picked it back up in anticipation of Grand Theft Auto VI!), the game’s latest big update, The Kortz Center Heist, is available now.
In addition, and celebration, starting now and until July 20 all players will be able to download GTA Online via the PS5 or Xbox Series X|S and play for free – no online subscriptions required.
The long-awaited Kortz Center Heist sees players work to infiltrate the city of Los Santos’ “premier cultural center” and make off with a piece of the prized Albert Crisp Collection, an exhibit that rotates through a catalogue of priceless artworks. To do so, they’ll need to outsmart security teams, video feeds and everyone’s favourite – laser tripwires – and strive to execute the most elegant, high-class Heist of their digital lives. Plus, there’s plenty of other loot to snag from this exorbitant display of antiquities, so make sure you have enough hands (and bags) before going in.
There’s a heap more freshly-added to the GTA Online experience alongside the new Heist, including new Mansion upgrades, bonuses for the first Primary Target sold across Kortz and other Heists each week, new vehicles, GTA+ member benefits and Rockstar Mission Creator content updates.
You can find every bit of info right here, but below is a breakdown of some of what’s new:
- Seven new Vehicles, including the Benefactor LRC GT (Super) and the Grotti Cartuccia GT (Sports), alongside the Vapid Caracara (Armored) which can be earned for free by completing all of The Kortz Center Heist’s Tier 4 Career Progress challenges
- New additions to the Rockstar Mission creator, including zombies, sliding and rotating props, warp points, comprehensive cutscene enhancements, and new stealth systems such as disguises and CCTV cameras
- Special rewards for players who reached Elitist status in the Fine Art Collector Program Rewards before July 13, including a GTA$1,000,000 discount on the Art Studio expansion, a free Vault Keypad upgrade, a free Annihilator Stealth helicopter from Warstock, a unique Sculpture, and the opportunity to steal a Unique High-Value Primary Target Painting
