
Nintendo has just rolled out a new update for Pikmin 3 Deluxe, the 2020 Switch port of a Wii U banger, and this one’s targeted squarely at players on the newer Nintendo Switch 2 hardware.
The patch notes for Pikmin 3 Deluxe version 1.2.0 are small, but add two crucial new things – a resolution increase and GameShare support for Switch 2.
The official support page doesn’t specify what the new resolution is on Switch 2, and simply touts a “sharper image” in both handheld and TV mode.

The following updates have been made when playing the game on Nintendo Switch 2:
General
- Added support for the Nintendo Switch 2 display and high-resolution televisions, resulting in a sharper image.
- Added support for GameShare.
- From “Bingo Battle” on the title screen, options for “Local Play” and “Via GameChat” have been added.
No changes have been made to the Nintendo Switch version of the game.
