Pikmin 3 Deluxe just got a small, free Switch 2 upgrade

Pikmin 3 Deluxe Switch 2

Nintendo has just rolled out a new update for Pikmin 3 Deluxe, the 2020 Switch port of a Wii U banger, and this one’s targeted squarely at players on the newer Nintendo Switch 2 hardware.

The patch notes for Pikmin 3 Deluxe version 1.2.0 are small, but add two crucial new things – a resolution increase and GameShare support for Switch 2.

The official support page doesn’t specify what the new resolution is on Switch 2, and simply touts a “sharper image” in both handheld and TV mode.

Here’s the patch notes:

  • Added support for GameShare.

No changes have been made to the Nintendo Switch version of the game.
