The September 2026 video game releases that you should know about

Well, we’re here. As we enter September, the rest of 2026 from this point forward is going to be busy. As every game ever tries to launch in this crucial end-of-year period while also keeping its distance from the impending behemoth that is Grand Theft Auto VI in November, we’ve got a stacked couple of months head.

Right up front we’ve got a couple of big-budget bangers in The Blood of Dawnwalker and Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and then the middle of the month is propped up by the likes of Hot Wheels Infinite Rush, Marvel’s Wolverine and Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave. Then, as we head into October, it’s Silent Hill: Townfall and CONTROL Resonant on the same day, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered manages to slide in fresh off of its Gamescom 2026 announcement.

And, of course, a huge number of great-looking indies on the way this month, including Nivalis Nights, TOEM 2, Woodo, Shroom and Gloom and plenty more.
