Rainbow Six Tactics

Ubisoft is reimagining Rainbow Six as a turn-based tactics game in the vein of XCOM, which honestly seems like a great fit for this series. Between this and Star Wars Zero Company tactics fans are eating good! Coming 2027.

Gears of War: E-Day

The premiere of the campaign trailer for Gears of War: E-Day, which Geoff really wants to remind you is an Xbox console exclusive. Like, repeatedly. Must be lucrative. Coming October 6, 2026.

ANANTA

Also known as “Anime GTA,” this one’s finally locked in a release date of January 15, 2027 for PS5, PC and mobile.

Silent Hill Townfall

A new trailer for the upcoming, original Silent Hill game being developed in collaboration between Konami and Annapurna Interactive. It continues to look very cool. Coming to PS5 and PC on September 24, 2026 – real soon!

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy

Another game on the way real soon, this trailer for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy paints a vivid picture of what players can expect from Team Asobo’s foray into action-adventure. Out in just a couple days!

Crimson Desert Enhanced

Six months out from launch, Crimson Desert is still receiving tons of updates and improvements from developer Pearl Abyss, and now it’s seeing something of a second coming with the “Enhanced” moniker. This free update will, among other things, include new cutscenes and dialogue designed to enhance (oh, there it is) the game’s story flow. Neat.

Tides of Annihilation

I’m sorry, I had to use the bathroom and missed this trailer. Game looks cool. Angela Sant’Albano has been announced as the lead voice actor, which is great news because she rocked Resident Evil Requiem as Grace.

Rayman Legends Retold

Oh my god, they’ve added a Macarena music stage. And here I was wondering how Ubisoft could possibly hope to improve on this 2D platforming masterpiece. Pencil this one into your calendars for October 1, 2026. It’s going to be sick.

The Blood of Dawnwalker

Game of Thrones: War for Westeros

A first look at gameplay from the Australian-developed Game of Thrones RTS. I can’t believe it’s taken this long for something like this to come along, it looks cool as hell. Coming in 2027.

DUST: Origins

A brand-new one from the folks behind Darksiders Genesis, this is a very slick-looking sci-fi horror isometric action game set aboard a haunted orbital prison platform. Classic stuff.

As a Mass Effect diehard this speaks to me greatly. It’s coming April 7 next year!

Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons

We were blessed with none other than Maggie Robertson (Resident Evil Village’s big hot vampire), followed by a very extensive debut gameplay trailer for this upcoming official D&D game. Looks neat, but we’ll have to wait until an unannounced date in 2027 for this one.

1001 Threads of Mizan

Another debut announcement, this time for a game inspired by 1001 Arabian Nights. It has magic carpet surfing, giant djinn fighting and more. Coming to PC and consoles in 2027!

Metro 2039

Two members of Ukrainian developer 4A Games took the stage to talk about making art in the midst of war (something you can read about in our own coverage of The Sinking City 2), and to show off a new trailer for the latest entry in the Metro series. Get hype. Gamescom attendees will have the chance to go hands-on with the game themselves.

Petit Planet

Another HoYoverse game! And a very different vibe from what we saw before. Maybe more my speed, given all the fuzzy creatures and pleasant-ness.

1666: Amsterdam

From Patrice Désilets, original creator of the Assassin’s Creed series, this one piqued my interest when it was first announced. Maybe a little less so, now that we know the studio is fully into AI junk, but I’m curious how this one goes – it’s out now in early access on PC if you’re interested.

Stage Tour

Peripheral-based music games are so back, baby! This new release date trailer showcases a new look at the game, a tease of featured artists, the guitar, mic and drum peripherals and more. This one’s coming to consoles and PC on December 10.

Crazy Taxi World Tour
