Pokémon Day is nearly upon us on Friday, February 27, at 6:00 a.m. PST, and as is tradition at this point that means we’re about to be treated to another edition of the series’ trademark news broadcast, Pokémon Presents.
This year marks a particularly special Pokémon Day, as it’s the franchise’s 30-year anniversary, so fans are naturally expecting big things from Friday’s showcase. 2025’s Pokémon Presents events brought us world-first news such as the reveal of the Pokémon Champions and Pokémon Friends, the Aardman stop-motion animated series Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu and more.
Rumours have, of course, been swirling for a minute now of what’s to come down the line for the mainline Pokémon entries, and with a date as significant as this there’s every hope we’ll get at least a first glimpse of what’s to come this week.
