Here’s one that doesn’t happen so often – Capcom has announced during its Capcom Spotlight presentation that one of its biggest upcoming games, the hack-and-shoot action sci-fi Pragmata, is coming earlier than originally planned.
Previously penciled in for release on April 24, 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2 and PC, the game is now due to arrive a full week earlier on April 17, 2026!
The news comes alongside a slick new “Main Trailer” for the game, showing off more areas of the lunar research station we’d yet to see, some impactful-looking cutscenes, holographic cats, friendly… cabins? And plenty of fearsome robotic enemies controlled by an evil AI.
Check it out:
Pragmata is Capcom’s upcoming sci-fi action adventure, one that sees Hugh and his android companion, Diana, navigate a hostile, 3D-printed lunar research station in an attempt to make their way back home to Earth. The big gameplay twist here is that Diana is capable of hacking into the otherwise nearly impenetrable enemy robots and expose their defences long enough for Hugh to take them down, and to do so you’ll engage in a simple hacking minigame while also controlling Hugh and engaging in battle.
It’s actually a lot less tricky and a lot more satisfying than it sounds. I’ve had the opportunity to play the game at multiple events such as Tokyo Game Show 2025 and a recent Nintendo preview session, and I’ve adored it every time. The best part is you can try it out for yourself right now with playable demos available on all the platforms it’s headed to. Find them here:
