Typically when reporting on changes to video game release dates, we’d be talking about delays, but recently the opposite has been true. After Capcom not long decided to pull forward Pragmata‘s launch date by a week, another game has sought to do the same.
Arriving a week ahead of schedule, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will now release on May 22, 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
This also means that those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition of the game will be able to start playing on May 19, 2026, thanks to the 72-hour early access bonus.
The new date is confirmed in this very short official video:
From the developer:
“LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is a brand-new open world action adventure video game that invites players to embark on Bruce Wayne’s epic journey to become the hero of Gotham City, inspired by decades of Batman films, television, comic books, and games, and jam-packed with Batman nostalgia, DC lore, and TT Games’ signature brand of fun-filled LEGO humor.”
The game is also coming to Nintendo Switch 2 at some point in 2026, but the release date for that version remains to be confirmed.
