Bandai Namco Entertainment has treated Dragon Ball fans to a number of exciting video game announcements during the two-day Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour event in Los Angeles that took place over the weekend. Closing the show was a presentation showcasing a number of developments, led by the headline reveal of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3.
It’s been a hot minute since 2016’s Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 came along and garnered mostly-positive reviews along with substantial commercial success, going on to eventually sell over 10 million copies by May 2023. With such a long gap between sequels, compared to the first two iterations, there’s naturally a lot of excitement surrounding the reveal of a third entry.
And it looks like Bandai Namco and developer, Dimps, are going all-in on this one, crafting an all-new world dubbed “AGE 1000,” full of original characters for the Dragon Ball universe with the help of the late Akira Toriyama.
Check out the announcement trailer for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 below, and see if you can spot a favourite about 30 seconds in!
