Yes, we’re talking about Bubsy today. It still boggles the mind that, after all this time, this is the platforming mascot we’re choosing to bring screaming back from the 90s, but here we are with Bubsy 4D, a game that feels like a joke but still has the potential to be one of those amazing jokes that’s actually a good piece of media at the same time.
Anyway, now it’s your turn to decide which direction this is going in, with a free demo available for Bubsy 4D right now on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2 and Switch (phew). PC players have already had their shot at this one, but we all know that Bubsy is right at home on a machine plugged into your telly in the living room, bought for your by a family member who didn’t know better or because you saw it in a magazine and were wowed by the scanned-in screenshots.

It does at least look like this is going in a self-aware direction of sorts, with Bubsy yelling “Download today! Regret tomorrow!” at the end, there. I know I’ll be jumping on my PS5 and checking this one out… for research.
