Developer A&R Atelier has just announced Ecco the Dolphin: Complete, a package that brings back an early gaming icon – at least for the SEGA kids among us. This remastered collection will include both Ecco the Dolphin and Ecco: The Tides of Time, in multiple versions spanning different platform releases like the SEGA Master System, SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive and SEGA CD versions, and also adds in an entirely new Ecco game on top!
Curiously, there doesn’t look to be any Ecco Jr or Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the future in this collection.
No trailers, release date or launch platforms have been revealed, but there’s a countdown on the official website that should end in a few hours, so we’ll update with more soon the official website has now been updated to feature a mini game and music player in celebration of Earth Day, plus you can straight up play the original Ecco the Dolphin in your browser, complete with emulation features like save states and controller mapping!
A new countdown has also started, that seems to end on July 21, 2026 (depending on your time zone), so I guess we’ll find out more then.
