The Blood of the Dawnwalker sinks its fangs into a September 3 release date

Developer Rebel Wolves and publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment have revealed that The Blood of the Dawnwalker, an ambitious dark fantasy action RPG from a team of industry veterans and the first chapter in a planned saga, will launch on September 3, 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

The announcement was made as part of a larger stream event, dubbed Road to Launch, which gave eager fans an in-depth look at new gameplay footage, a new Story Trailer and even a first listen of a new song from the game’s soundtrack played by a live band!

In case you’ve not seen it before, The Blood of the Dawnwalker is a vampire-themed dark fantasy adventure set in Medieval Europe, casting players as Coen – the titular Dawnwalker with both human and vampiric traits. The game promises a flexible, player-driven RPG experience where quests can be approached in multiple ways depending on the time of day, and thus Coen’s access to either his vampire abilities or need to employ more diplomatic strategies befitting of someone walking the streets as a human.

All of this is nestled within a narrative structure that gives the player exactly 30 in-game days and nights (progressed through quest completion, rather than an actual timer) to reach the end goal in whichever fashion they choose.
