Square Enix has just released a free playable demo for its upcoming HD-2D action RPG, The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, which comes from Team Asano (Octopath Traveler, Bravely Default, Triangle Strategy).
With just a few weeks to go before the game’s June 18, 2026 launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2 and PC, players can now take their first steps into the world of (checks notes) Philabieldia ahead of time and carry over their save progress to the full game.
This isn’t the first time that there’s been a playable demo for The Adventures of Elliot, with the studio previously putting out an early playable slice of the game in order to gather player feedback, which has resulted in a number of updates made to the final game including an increase in Elliot’s base movement speed, a new difficulty level and “various quality-of-life updates.”
You can head over to the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Nintendo Switch eShop or Steam to download the demo now, and check out a new gameplay trailer below:
