Destruction AllStars has been abruptly delisted from the PlayStation Store

I don’t think there’s anyone that couldn’t have seen this coming, and a small part of me had kind of assumed it already had, but PlayStation has now officially pulled the plug on Destruction AllStars, its ill-fated car combat game that debuted in early 2021.

The company sent out emails this week confirming that the game and its virtual currency options have been removed from the PlayStation Store, and servers will be completely shut off starting Wednesday, November 25, 2026.

Those that already have the game in their library from before the delisting will still be able to download and play online modes until this date, and following the server shut-off the game’s single-player Arcade Mode content should still be playable for the most part, in case you find yourself really missing the experience.

As anyone who played it will hopefully attest, Destruction AllStars wasn’t necessarily a bad game, and developer Lucid Games achieved a lot of good stuff with the core movement and combat mechanics, but its release was ultimately hampered by an initial announcement as a full-priced game, followed by a delay and a pivot to a limited-time PlayStation Plus freebie bolstered by microtransactions.

Here’s the email sent out by PlayStation (via The Verge) with the news:

From May 26, 2026 at 14:00 UTC, Destruction AllStars and all associated virtual currency (Destruction Points) will be removed from sale at PlayStation®Store and will no longer be available for purchase.

Single-player modes will remain accessible to existing users until Wednesday November 25, 2026 at 15:00 UTC when all server support for Destruction AllStars shall be shut down. After this date, Arcade Mode single player challenges shall remain playable for returning players, however functionality and player experience may be impacted due to the server shutdown. Otherwise, all remaining game services will be taken offline.

Any virtual currency (Destruction Points) currently owned by players can continue to be redeemed within available single-player modes until Wednesday November 25, 2026 at 15:00 UTC.

Due to ongoing technical issues, multiplayer services for Destruction AllStars on PlayStation®5 consoles shall remain offline and are no longer available.

We appreciate the support and enthusiasm of the Destruction AllStars community.
