Rockstar Games has, as it does, dropped a morsel of Grand Theft Auto VI news out of nowhere. Hot off the heels of announcing that it’s giving away the current-gen console GTA 5 upgrade to all previous owners for free. The studio has confirmed that it will hit the “GO LIVE” button on digital, and select physical, pre-orders of GTA6 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on June 25, 2026.
Alongside the pre-order date announcement, the game’s official cover art has been revealed, and it’s in keeping with tradition in its combination of the bold title logo surrounded by a series of panels depicting imagery from the game. We can, of course, see our dual protagonists, Lucia and Jason, as well as a few other integral characters like Boobie Ike, Raul Bautista and one half of social superstar duo, Real Dimez. Plus, a bunch of very Florida-esque stuff including cars, boats, bikes and gators.
You can download the official cover artwork from the GTA 6 website, in a variety of formats.
