EB Games will be stocking Evercade products in Australia starting this October

Great news for Aussie retro video game fans who’ve been hoping to see some of the cooler, classically-inclined hardware out there become more prominent at local retail – EB Games Australia has opened up pre-orders for a range of Evercade hardware and software which will begin to arrive next month, October 2026.

So far the retailer has listed the Evercade Neon Retro EXP-R and Super Pocket handhelds, as well as the Evercade VS-R Solo home console, plus a few software cartridges to get your collection started – and even some of the HyperMegaTech! Super Micro Keychain machines for good measure.

This gear has been popping up at a number of local shops recently, with the Gamesmen and PixelCrib mostly holding down the fort and a few of the big department stores throwing them into their drop-shipped Online Only catalogues, but wide availability at a national retailer like EB Games should make this stuff a lot more accessible.

Here’s what’s coming:

Anyone familiar with the brand will no doubt be wondering what this means for the likes of the Evercade Nexus, or the DOOM/Banjo-Kazooie cartridges, which all launch globally in October but as of yet have not been guaranteed an Australian release – typically we’d be waiting months or even years for an eventual drop here.
