Aussie comedy palming sim, My Arms Are Longer Now, gets a March 11 release date

My Arms Are Longer Now release date

The fine folks at Toot Games secured a starring slot in this morning’s wonderful Nintendo Indie World showcase, with the duo of Millie Holten and Matthew Jackson appearing on-screen to introduce My Arms Are Longer Now to the world – and reveal a release date of March 11, 2027.

Of course, if you live here in Australia and pay any kind of attention to things, you’ll have no doubt seen this game once or twice before (perhaps even in the Frosty Games Fest showcase??). It’s a stealth-comedy game where you play as a thief with a freakishly elongated slap-stick and perform various hijinks and crimes with nothing but your wits and your wiggly digits.

Think Untitled Goose Game meets Thank Goodness You’re Here! and you’ll probably have a fairly good idea of what you’re in form when the game launches next year across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2 and PC. But having seen plenty of the game, and knowing the comedic chops of Millie through my regular patronage of improv shows at Melbourne’s Comedy Republic, I also think those comparisons undersell it – this will be one to watch.

Don’t take my word for it, simply observe:

From the press release:

You are a thief, and an incredibly talented one at that, thanks in no small part to your really gross, really long arm. While other people may be put off by how, er, snake-like it is, it’s the perfect tool for someone in your line of work. Avoid security and grab anything that isn’t nailed down to the ground for profit. Cash? Nabbed. Bikes? Yoinked. Family pets? Now part of YOUR family. Mischief is part of your angle, with any situation for ill-gotten gains being open to approach.

You can even steal candy from a baby. And maybe (definitely) slap the baby. We’re not sure if the devs like babies.

But all the cunning in the world can’t replace creativity, and with a constantly spiraling detective on your heels, you’ll have to be clever to make your dosh. Snake your way through vents and under seats, disguise your hand with a sock to disarm a security guard – do whatever you can to satisfy your kleptomania.

My Arms Are Longer Now launches March 11, 2027 on PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch & Switch 2 and XBOX Series X|S. For more information, visit https://www.jackboxgames.com/games/publishing/my-arms-are-longer-now.
