Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration pre-orders are live now in Australia [JB HI-FI UPDATE]

Update: After a period of confusion, JB Hi-Fi has begun informing customers who make enquiries that the Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration products did not sell out and will be made available again shortly. It does not appear to be price-related, but due to a system issue caused by the huge demand this morning. There isn’t any word on exactly when the products will return but we’ll endeavour to post here and on our socials when it does, so be sure to follow us.

JB’s exact statement reads:

“We’re sorry for the frustration, but unfortunately we received unprecedented demand for this release and experienced system issues meaning customers could not check out. Due to these issues, we have had to take them offline while we work through a better experience for you. We haven’t sold out, and they will be available online as soon as possible.”

Original story: Aussie Pokémon TCG fans are in for a big morning with pre-orders suddenly opening up for the much-anticipated 30th Celebration set, which includes a huge range of product. Pokémon TCG’s 30th Celebration expansion is launching from September 16, 2026, and it’s doing so on the same day across the globe, marking the TCG’s first-ever simultaneous worldwide release.

Retailers opened their virtual doors for orders at 10AM AEST with the EB Games website initially reporting queue times of up to an hour but now looks fine, though pre-orders are still locked to an EB World Plus membership for now and are, in a word, expensive.

JB Hi-Fi seems a lot more chill at the moment sold out almost immediately at prices that were half what EB is asking, but we’ll update if/when their products come back online.

Toymate is still reporting wait times of up to an hour.
