Splatoon Raiders is launching July 23 for Nintendo Switch 2

Nintendo has just dropped a big splat of news for fans of its fashion-forward ink-em-up series, Splatoon. First announced back in June 2025, Splatoon Raiders is the first full spin-off game in the franchise, and a proper single-player focused experience, and we now know that it’s scheduled to release on July 23, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2.

A new trailer for the game has also debuted, and shows off the character customisation, a look at the Spirhalite Islands and all of the Salmonid-splatting action you could hope for. The game also features gear construction, with the trailer showing off some neat gadgets as well as special Relic Powers, different tanks, weapons, bot buddies and more. At one point we even see the player ride on Big Man – neat!

Also revealed is a new trio of Amiibo based on Deep Cut, including Shiver, Big Man and Frye, although these are updated versions from the already-released Deep Cut Amiibo that sport their Splatoon Raiders design. These will launch alongside the game on July 23.

Splatoon Raiders is already up for digital pre-order on the Nintendo Switch eShop in some regions, priced at USD $49.99 / AUD $84.95 / £41.99.

It continues Nintendo’s new efforts towards digital games being priced cheaper than their physical counterparts with an RRP of USD $59.99 for a physical copy, $10 more than the digital.

Here’s the official Splatoon Raiders blurb from Nintendo’s press release:

Splatoon Raiders is a single-player-focused action shooter for Splatoon veterans and newcomers alike. You take on the role of a mechanic embarking on a high-stakes adventure across the mysterious Spirhalite Islands.

Customize your appearance and your loadout and get ready to raid the islands for treasure. Using a variety of mechanical gadgets and ink-splattering weapons you’ll splat scores of enemies called Salmonids, conquer raids and salvage loot on your journey through the one-of-a-kind Splatoon universe.

But you won’t be alone – you’ll be working with Frye, Shiver and Big Man, a trio of swashbuckling musicians who make up the splat-tacular band Deep Cut. In fact, one member of the band will raid alongside you in a powerful bot!

The game also supports the ability to join with up to three other players online or via local wireless.
