With Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced finally, formally, shown off to the world, we now know a little more about when and how it’s releasing across platforms and mediums.
Coming on July 9, 2026, fans will be able to purchase Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced either digitally or physically, with various other editions releasing, including a very swanky Collector’s Edition.
We have the first looks at the covers of the retail physical standard edition for Australian players, and aside from revealing some nice-looking cover art we can also see another crucial detail. It looks as though, despite coming with an actual disc for the game, the physical console versions of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will require an internet connection and an extra download to play.
This is far from new for Ubisoft games, or the Assassin’s Creed series, so it’s not incredibly surprising but still important to know for anyone picking up a copy from their local store – you will not be able to install and start the game without at least one, mandatory content download over the internet.
The standard edition of the game will retail forUSD $59.99 / AUD $99.95 / €59.99 / £49.99, while the Collector’s Edition will run you a hefty USD $199.99 / AUD $349.95 / €199.99 / £174.99 when it launches for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on July 9, 2026.
Here’s the debut reveal showcase for the game again, in case you’re yet to watch it, along with some more info via Ubisoft:
