PlayStation’s PULSE Elevate wireless speakers launch November 12 for $329.95

Pulse Elevate speakers

PlayStation has revealed the launched date for its first-ever official wireless speaker set, dubbed the Pulse Elevate, scheduling them in for a November 12, 2026 release at an RRP of AUD $329.95.

Continuing on the line of “Pulse” audio gear designed for PS5, PlayStation Portal, mobile devices and PC/Mac, which includes the Pulse Elite wireless headset and Pulse Explore wireless earbuds, this pair of speakers aims to be a dedicated external audio solution. Granted, $300+ isn’t the kind of money most folks would throw at a set of desktop speakers, but these ones include some pretty cutting-edge features that should certainly be an improvement over whatever cheap pair you picked up from Officeworks for your PC desk or (god forbid) your TV’s in-built speakers.

Like the other Pulse products, Sony is once again flexing the planar magnetic driver technology it acquired from Audeze, which should give these speakers a really natural, detailed sound (though I haven’t heard them yet to say that with certainty). They’re also equipped to process the Tempest 3D AudioTech featured in many PS5 games for immersive audio positioning, and have built-in woofers to handle bass.

One of the more interesting and potentially very useful features is a built-in microphone, which should allow for seamless in-game chat without the need to bang on a pair of headphones. It’s using noise rejection tech to filter out any unwanted background noise, which I would assume and hope includes the audio coming out of the Pulse Elevate speakers themselves.

In terms of connectivity, these once again follow in the footsteps of the other Pulse gear and make use of PlayStation Link for ultra-low latency and lossless connectivity on compatible devices. Anything that’s not natively PlayStation Link enabled, like a desktop PC, can be fitted with the included USB-C dongle enabling the same experience, and for everything else there’s also Bluetooth.

Lastly, an in-built rechargeable battery means these can also become a portable audio solution, perfect for annoying folks on the train with your next game of Candy Crush. They even sit on handy charging docks when used as desktop/console speakers so they’re always charged and ready to take on an adventure.

If that all sounds like something you’d be interested in, pre-orders for these will go live on Tuesday, September 1 at 10AM in your local time, through all the regular retailers, and they’ll be available in both black and white.
