Publisher Annapurna Interactive, purveyor of many a fine indie-adjacent video game, has announced its bringing a swathe of its back catalogue to Nintendo’s most recent console hardware, the Switch 2.
This group of games, as beloved as they are acclaimed, are landing on the Switch 2 in rolling drops, starting with the release of Simogo’s excellent Lorelei and the Laser eyes and Sayonara Wild Hearts as soon as… well, today! The latter in particular is worth celebrating, not just because it’s one of the greatest games/albums you’ll ever play, but because it now includes the seamless Remix Arcade mode, which wasn’t previously available in the original Switch iteration of the game.
Both are currently massively discounted as a launch special on the Nintendo Switch eShop. And better yet, if you happen to already own the Switch 1 versions of either of these titles, you’ll get upgraded to the new ones for free.
Then in around a month from now, BlueTwelve Studios’ sci-fi dystopia cat sim, Stray, will grace the system, bringing with it upgraded visuals with 4K support and ‘improved’ frame rates as well as Joy-Con 2 mouse controls.
Finally, June 2026 brings with it another two exciting releases – with to a T from Keita Takashi (creator of Katamari Damacy) landing on June 11, and Wanderstop from Davey Wreden (creator of The Stanley Parable) popping in for tea on June 23.
Phew.
These are all, honestly, banger games, and so if you happen to have a Switch 2 and are yet to check them out – this is your best excuse yet.
The below trailer also highlights some other Switch 2 picks from Annapurna, including the recently-released (and fantastic) People of Note as well as the upcoming Mixtape, D-Topia, Forever Ago and Demi and the Fractured Dream:
